Jamal Shead scored a team-high 19 points, Brandon Ingram added 17, and the Toronto Raptors mounted a dramatic comeback from a 21-point second-quarter deficit to edge the Orlando Magic 107–106 on Monday night.
Gradey Dick chipped in 15 points while Scottie Barnes contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds as Toronto completed its second straight comeback victory, following Sunday’s overtime win against Golden State.
The Raptors trailed by 21 midway through the second quarter and were still down 10 entering the fourth. Toronto turned the game around with a decisive 13–0 run, grabbing a 105–102 lead with just over three minutes remaining.
Orlando had one last chance, but Paolo Banchero’s step-back 3-pointer at the buzzer fell short.
Banchero finished with 23 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists for his fourth career triple-double, while Anthony Black scored 27 points, including 16 in the third quarter. Still, the Magic failed to secure consecutive wins for the first time since early December.
Sandro Mamukelashvili scored 13 for Toronto, and Ochai Agbaji and Ja’Kobe Walter each added 10.
Toronto played without center Jakob Poeltl, who was sidelined again due to lower-back soreness and is expected to miss at least another week. RJ Barrett was rested on the second night of a back-to-back after returning Sunday from a 15-game absence.
The game also marked the Raptors’ debut of Mo Bamba, who recorded one block but did not score.
