Jakob Poeltl will be out tonight against the Phoenix Suns.

The Toronto Raptors will once again rest Poeltl with Immanuel Quickley returning to the starting lineup after sitting out Sunday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

RJ Barrett will miss his second straight game due to illness. Barrett missed the game against the Blazers.

Gradey Dick, Brandon Ingram, Ja’Kobe Walter, and Ulrich Chomche all remain out. Meanwhile, Jared Rhoden continues his G League stint with Raptors 905.

The Raptors will likely limit Quickley and Scottie Barnes’ minutes in this one. The Raptors have been pulling key players in the fourth quarter of games and in crunch time to help their chances of losing as it relates to the draft lottery odds. An example of this was Barnes playing 27 minutes on Sunday and Poeltl logging just 24 as the Raptors closed the game against Portland with their bench unit.

The Suns will be on the second night of a back-to-back. They are coming off a loss against the Los Angeles Lakers and this will be a must-win for them as they try and get into the Play-In Tournament. Bradley Beal’s status remains uncertain as he works through a hamstring issue.

Blazers edge Raptors 105-102

Anfernee Simons led a late surge with 12 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter. At the same time, Toumani Camara added 21 as the Portland Trail Blazers erased a 16-point deficit to defeat the Toronto Raptors 105-102 on Sunday, snapping a five-game losing streak.
