Raptors Vs. Hawks Preview: Looking For Three Straight Wins

The Toronto Raptors are looking for their first three-game winning streak of the season.

These two squared off on Thursday night in Atlanta and Toronto came away with the win 122-119. Scottie Barnes led the way with 25 points.

Barnes shot 8-for-17 from the field, while chipping in with 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Jakob Poeltl, RJ Barrett, Gradey Dick, Chris Boucher, Bruce Brown and Kelly Olynyk all had double-figures.

Four of the five starters for the Hawks were in double digits. Along with Bogdan Bogdanovic dropping 23 points from off the bench.

Unfortunately, Immanuel Quickley will miss his 6th straight game with a hip injury. Also, Ochai Agbaji remains out with a hand injury and Olynyk is out as well. For the Hawks, their no. 1 overall pick Zacharie Risacher (abductor), Larry Nance Jr. (hand) and Kobe Bufkin (shoulder) remain out.

Trae Young, who averages 22.9 points and 11.7 assists provides a massive boost for this Hawks offense. Last game, he shot 7-for-19, as the Raptors defense did a great job in containing him.

Davion Mitchell is expected to see the lion’s share of guarding Young once again, so he needs to prevent the star guard from finding a rhythm offensively.

It is hard to beat the same team twice, but the Raptors need to limit as many contributors as possible from Atlanta. If multiple players are in double-figures again, it could be hard for Toronto to replicate Thursday’s performance.
