Bruce Brown may finally be making his season debut for the Toronto Raptors.

The Toronto Raptors have been plagued by injuries as of late. Dealing with Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett and Kelly Olynyk missing extended periods of time.

Particularly for Brown, he has been recovering from knee surgery and Toronto could certainly use his toughness. While also perhaps reestablishing his trade value ahead of the Feb. 6 trade deadline.

According to Joseph Casciaro of theScore, Brown is slatted to make his season debut against the Atlanta Hawks should nothing drastically happen:

Darko says “if nothing changes radically,” Bruce Brown should be back tomorrow. Same goes for Poeltl. Still officially questionable, though

— Joseph Casciaro (@JosephCasciaro) December 28, 2024

In totality, Brown has played 34 games for the Raptors, starting 11 of them. Averaging 9.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists on 48.1 percent shooting from the field and 31.7 percent shooting from three-point range.

While the former Miami Hurricane is not a point guard, he can certainly relieve some ball handling duties from Barnes and Barrett. In addition to being an underrated playmaker, he can take on defensive challenges as well.

Meanwhile, Jakob Poeltl remains questionable for tomorrow’s game despite participating in practice. Jamal Shead (knee), Ja’Kobe Walter (illness) and Davion Mitchell (illness) are questionable as well. Quickley (elbow) still remains out, per TSN’s Josh Lewenberg.

Little by little, the Raptors are getting healthier. Hopefully, by the end of this season, the Raptors are able to truly evaluate what they have and what they need going forward.

Hypothetical Raptors trade sees Jakob Poeltl & Bruce Brown to Nuggets

It is no surprise that the Raptors have valuable pieces in Jakob Poeltl and Bruce Brown. Those two are going to be the center of attention as the Feb. 6 deadline approaches.

Nathaniel Holloway of Athlon Sports proposed a hypothetical trade between Toronto and the Denver Nuggets. With Poeltl and Brown going to Denver in exchange for Michael Porter Jr. and Zeke Nnaji.
