Mavericks Vs. Raptors Preview: Searching For Four-Game Winning Streak

The Toronto Raptors look to keep things going when they host the Dallas Mavericks.

Toronto has won 3 straight games and are perfect out of the All-Star break.

They are coming off an impressive win over the Indiana Pacers 130-122. Scottie Barnes had a huge stat line of 21 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 blocks.

Seven Raptors finished in double-figures and Toronto finished the game with 35 assists.

The Raptors will welcome in a Mavericks team that will be on the second night of a back-to-back. Dallas is coming off a deflating loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Max Strus hit a 60-foot game-winner against the Mavericks to cap off a ridiculous fourth quarter performance.

Luka Doncic had 45 points and Kyrie Irving had 30. The two have been playing well as of late and will be hard for the Raptors to contain.

The Mavericks size could also give the Raptors problems. Dereck Lively II and Daniel Gafford could be a handful to deal with inside.

Especially if the Raptors are without Jakob Poeltl. He left the game against the Pacers in the third quarter with a left ankle sprain.

Poeltl was seen getting shots up at Toronto’s shootaround this morning but he is still officially listed as questionable for tonight’s game, per Sports Illustrated’s Aaron Rose.

Meanwhile for the Mavericks, Dante Exum did not play in Cleveland but there is a good chance he will suit up against Toronto, Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning news reports.

The Raptors and Mavericks last met on Nov. 8 in Dallas when Toronto came away with a 127-116 victory.
