The Toronto Raptors got rolled by the Brooklyn Nets on Nov. 28. The Nets were without their top scorer Cam Thomas and they still easily handled the Raptors.

Toronto had a couple of scoring droughts in the loss. They had one in the first-half which led to a Nets 15-0 run to close out the second quarter. Then the Raptors missed six straight shot attempts down the stretch in the fourth.

Toronto was ice cold in this one. They shot it 38.6 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from three and 63.2 percent from the free throw line.

Per Keerthika of TSN, Toronto has shot it below 70 percent at the free throw line in 10 games this season, which is most in the NBA.

The Raptors advanced shooting numbers were even worse against the Nets. Toronto struggled at the rim and from the short mid range:

Cleaning the Glass updated their numbers & somehow, it got worse.

Raptors shot 11-for-26 at the rim & 7-for-26 in the short mid range tonight against Brooklyn.

For the season the Raptors are 22nd in the NBA in field goal percentage, 24th in three-point percentage and 29th in free throw percentage.

There have been countless games this season where the Raptors have gone through scoring droughts or poor shooting stretches.

The poor free throw shooting in particular has been alarming because this is a Raptors team that got eliminated from the Play-In Tournament last season because of missed free throws.

Toronto has to start hitting their shots and free throws with consistency or else it’s going to be a long season for them.

Toronto has lost back-to-back games and at 8-10 they are starting to trend downhill.

Raptors need bounce back shooting game

The Raptors will be taking on the Phoenix Suns next. The Suns are 9th in the NBA in field goal percentage, 2nd in three-point percentage and 4th in free throw percentage.

Toronto has its work cut out for them.
