The Raptors laid an egg against the Orlando Magic in their second In-Season Tournament game.
The Magic led by as many as 27 points and cruised to the easy 126-107 victory.
Paolo Banchero led all scorers with 25 points and Jalen Suggs chipped in with 18 points. He came out with a fire lit under him. Suggs always seems to be extra motivated whenever he plays the Raptors, the team that drafted Scottie Barnes over him. Franz Wagners had 17 points.
The Magic dominated the Raptors 68-36 in points in the paint. They also forced Toronto to a season-high 24 turnovers and scored 31 points off those turnovers.
The Raptors actually shot well in this game. They drained 50.7 percent of their shots and 50 percent of their threes. However, the biggest discrepancy in this one was the bench production.
The Magic came into this game with the 4th highest scoring bench and they absolutely dominated the Raptors second unit. The Raptors bench was outscored 56-32.
Toronto found itself in an early hole and were unable to dig themselves out of it. This game marked the 6th time in the last 8 games that the Raptors have been down 16+.
Toronto’s effort was very disappointing. They made many mistakes and did not look ready to compete. Their defense was non-existent either.
The duo of Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes couldn’t get going offensively. Siakam finished with 16 points, while Barnes had 14 points. The duo of Banchero and Wagner outscored them 42-30.
The only one who seemingly showed for Toronto was Dennis Schroder. He led Toronto with 24 points on 8-13 shooting.
With the loss the Raptors aren’t technically eliminated from the In-Season Tournament, but it will be awfully tough for them to make it to the knockout round after dropping to 0-2.
The Raptors will play in their third In-Season Tournament game on Nov. 24 against the Chicago Bulls.

The Raptors will have to quickly forget about their bad performance in Orlando as they travel to take on the Indiana Packers on Nov. 22 on the second night of a back to back. The Raptors will have to deal with Tyrese Haliburton and the No.1 offense in the league.
