Scottie Barnes delivered a strong all-around performance with 27 points and eight rebounds, leading the Toronto Raptors to a 112–91 victory over the struggling Miami Heat on Tuesday night, the final game before the holiday break for both teams.
Immanuel Quickley added 18 points for Toronto, which reached 18 wins in its first 31 games — a milestone that took the Raptors 57 games to achieve last season. The win also ensured Toronto will be above .500 at Christmas for the first time since the 2019–20 campaign.
Sandro Mamukelashvili chipped in 14 points, and Brandon Ingram finished with 12 for the Raptors, who once again played without RJ Barrett as he continues to recover from a sprained right knee.
Miami, meanwhile, continued its downward trend. Jaime Jaquez Jr. led the Heat with 21 points, but the loss dropped them to 15–15 and marked their ninth defeat in the past 11 games. The Heat were held to just 91 points, their lowest output of the season — and the second time Toronto has kept Miami under 100 this year, following a 106–96 Raptors win on Dec. 15.
Norman Powell scored 17 points, Andrew Wiggins added 14, and Bam Adebayo pulled down 12 rebounds for Miami, which again played without Tyler Herro, Nikola Jovic, and Pelle Larsson due to injuries. The Heat shot just 40.2%, their poorest home shooting performance of the season.
Toronto took firm control with a decisive 10–0 run in the fourth quarter, stretching its lead to 99–76 and effectively sealing the outcome.
Despite recent struggles, the Raptors earned only their fourth win in the past 12 games, with half of those victories coming against Miami.
