Brandon Ingram scored 20 points, leading the Toronto Raptors to a 109-97 comeback victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night for their second consecutive NBA Cup win and fourth victory overall this season.
The Raptors, who trailed by 13 points in the second quarter, turned the game around in the final period. Scottie Barnes gave Toronto its first lead of the night at 82-81 with a layup midway through the fourth, and Immanuel Quickley followed with a 3-pointer to extend the advantage as the Raptors closed out strong in the first game of a five-game road trip.
RJ Barrett contributed 19 points, Quickley added 18, and Barnes posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds to power Toronto’s balanced offense.
For Atlanta, Jalen Johnson led the way with 21 points, while Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 20 and Kristaps Porziņgis added 17. The Hawks played without All-Star guard Trae Young, who sat out with a sprained right MCL.
The victory continues Toronto’s midseason turnaround — after starting the year 1-4, the Raptors have now won four of their last five, including both of their NBA Cup matchups.
