RJ Barrett scored 27 points and Brandon Ingram added 26 as the Toronto Raptors notched their first consecutive victories of the season, defeating the short-handed Memphis Grizzlies 117-104 on Sunday night.

Scottie Barnes contributed 19 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists, while rookie Collin Murray-Boyles chipped in 15 points to help the Raptors win their second straight following a four-game skid. Toronto had previously topped Cleveland 112-101 on Friday.

The Grizzlies were without star guard Ja Morant, who was suspended one game for conduct detrimental to the team. Without him, Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis with 20 points, while Santi Aldama added 15. Jock Landale and Vince Williams Jr. each scored 14, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Cedric Coward finished with 12 apiece.

Toronto took control early, leading 53-47 at halftime before opening the third quarter on an 8-0 run and closing the period with a 7-0 burst to enter the fourth up 84-71. The Raptors held that double-digit edge throughout the final frame.

The Raptors’ defense proved key — they held Memphis to 11-for-35 (31%) from beyond the arc, while Toronto shot 11-for-37 from deep but made up for it with dominance in transition, outscoring the Grizzlies 25-11 in fast-break points. Barnes also anchored the defense with five of Toronto’s seven blocks.

Jakob Poeltl missed his third straight game for the Raptors with a sore lower back.

The loss marked Memphis’s first set of back-to-back defeats this season after falling 117-112 to the Lakers on Friday, a game in which Morant struggled with just eight points and no made shots in the second half.
