OG Anunoby and the New York Knicks stole Game 1.

It looked like the Boston Celtics were going to cruise to a Game 1 victory. They were up by 20 points midway through the third and seemed to be in full control of the game.

But then the Knicks stormed back. Former Toronto Raptors wing OG Anunoby took over in the second half and helped lead the comeback. He finished with a playoff career-high 29 points on 10-for-20 shooting from the field, including 6-for-11 from three, 4 rebounds 3 assists and one steal.

Anunoby came up with timely buckets, including two big dunks in crucial moments. He stole and slammed the ball to tie the game at the 7 minute mark in the fourth:

Then he came up with a big and-1 dunk to score the first points in overtime for the Knicks as they went on to win 108-105:

Jalen Brunson also came up big scoring 29 points as he caught fire late in the fourth quarter. Mikal Bridges who logged a game-high 51 minutes played solid defense throughout and had the game-winning steal to seal the win for New York.

The Knicks were 0-10 against the top 3 teams in the NBA entering this game and they beat the Celtics for the first time this season to take a 1-0 series lead in the best-of-seven series.

Former Raptors guard Fred VanVleet and Rockets eliminated from playoffs

Fred VanVleet and the Houston Rockets ran out of gas.

After a couple of epic performances to force a Game 7, the former Toronto Raptors point guard cooled off Sunday night as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets 103-89 to eliminate them from the playoffs.
