RJ Barrett poured in 31 points, Chris Boucher notched a season-high 24, and the Toronto Raptors snapped a four-game skid with a hard-fought 131-128 overtime win against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.
Ochai Agbaji and Gradey Dick also made significant contributions for Toronto, each scoring a season-high 22 points.
Sacramento’s Domantas Sabonis recorded his 60th career triple-double with 17 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists, but his efforts weren’t enough to extend the Kings’ three-game winning streak.
Former Raptors star DeMar DeRozan led Sacramento with 33 points but missed two potential game-tying 3-pointers in the final minute of overtime.
After DeRozan’s first miss, Barrett had a chance to seal the game but missed both free throws with nine seconds left. The Kings had one last opportunity, but DeRozan and De’Aaron Fox missed 3-point attempts on Sacramento’s final possession.
Fox finished with 24 points, scoring 14 in the fourth quarter but going scoreless in overtime. Malik Monk provided a spark off the bench with 21 points, while Keegan Murray had 16 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out.
At halftime, the Raptors honored franchise legend Vince Carter by retiring his No. 15 jersey.
