Scottie Barnes delivered a career-best performance with 35 points, RJ Barrett added 29, and the Toronto Raptors never trailed in a 122-111 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night, extending Indiana’s road losing streak to seven games.

Jakob Poeltl contributed 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Ochai Agbaji scored 13 as the Raptors built a lead as large as 24 points in the third quarter.

Barnes shot an efficient 13-for-20 from the field while dishing out nine assists and grabbing six rebounds. His previous career-high was 32 points.

Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 30 points, but Indiana has now gone winless on the road since beating Dallas on Nov. 4. Bennedict Mathurin chipped in 17 points, Myles Turner had 16, and Obi Toppin finished with 15.

Pascal Siakam, facing his former team, was held to 13 points on 4-of-13 shooting before fouling out in the fourth quarter, during which he was also assessed a technical foul.

Toronto wrapped up its NBA Cup group play with a 1-3 record for the second consecutive year, while Indiana went winless at 0-4 in the tournament.

Takeaways

Pacers: Indiana, which reached the championship game of last season’s inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament, struggled mightily this year, losing all four of its group games by a combined 60 points.

Raptors: Toronto extended its home winning streak to four games, improving to 6-4 at Scotiabank Arena. However, the Raptors remain just 1-11 on the road this season.

Key Moment

After the Pacers cut the deficit to just two points in the fourth quarter, Agbaji drained a clutch three-pointer with 5:55 remaining to restore Toronto’s momentum. He finished a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.

Key Stat

Toronto capitalized on Indiana’s mistakes, scoring 12 points off eight Pacers turnovers in the first quarter and five more off four miscues in the second. Indiana committed 21 turnovers, leading to 23 points for the Raptors.
