Karl-Anthony Towns delivered 27 points and 13 rebounds, while OG Anunoby matched his scoring output as the New York Knicks secured a 112-98 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.

Josh Hart contributed a strong all-around performance with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Jalen Brunson added 13 points to help the Knicks snap a three-game losing streak. The win came after New York had won nine straight before their skid.

Towns, who sat out Monday’s loss to Orlando due to a knee issue, made an immediate impact, shooting 9-of-14 from the field, including a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc in 34 minutes.

Immanuel Quickley led the Raptors with 22 points against his former team, while Scottie Barnes added 18. Toronto continued its struggles, dropping its second straight game and 14th of its last 15 contests.

The Knicks shot 55% from the floor in the first half, with Towns, Anunoby, and Hart combining for 40 points to help New York take a 55-51 lead into the break.

Takeaways

Raptors: RJ Barrett, another former Knick, finished with 16 points in his return to Madison Square Garden.

Knicks: All five Knicks starters scored in double figures, including Mikal Bridges, who scored 10 points.

Key Moment

Toronto was within 10 points, trailing 91-81 with 9:22 remaining in the fourth quarter after a basket from Barnes. However, the Knicks responded with a dominant 15-0 run over the next five minutes, as the Raptors missed eight consecutive shots and committed two turnovers, putting the game out of reach.

Key Stat

New York has now won seven straight meetings against Toronto, dating back to last season. The Raptors’ last victory over the Knicks came on January 22, 2023, at Madison Square Garden.

Up Next

Toronto will play the Cavaliers on Thursday in Cleveland, while New York will host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.
