Canada looks to make it 2-0 in group play when they take on Australia.

The Canadians were victorious in their first game of the tournament against Greece 86-79.

Meanwhile, Australia defeated Spain 92-80 to set up this matchup between 1-0 teams.

Both teams are potential threats to Team USA for the gold medal and the winner of this matchup will put itself in a great position to win Group A.

Canada needs to play better in this one if they want to beat Australia. They committed 14 turnovers against Greece and nearly crumbled at the end when Greece cut the lead to just 2 with under 1 minute left to play. However, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made a big time shot, which ended up being the dagger.

Canada will need their best effort here against a talented Australian team that features six current NBA players like Patty Mills, Josh Giddey, and Jock Landale along with former NBA guard Matthew Dellavedova.

Mills will be someone to look out for in this matchup. He scored 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting (3-for-6 from 3) and added a pair of steals against Spain.

For Canada, Barrett continues to be their best player. Gilgeous-Alexander will attract a lot of attention so Barrett can continue to feast. He shot 8-for-13 from the field and finished with a team-high 23 points in 32 minutes against Greece.
