DeMar DeRozan is heading back to the Western Conference.

The former Toronto Raptors star was traded by the Chicago Bulls to the Sacramento Kings as part of a three-way trade.

The Kings land DeRozan on a three-year deal, while sending Harrison Barnes to the San Antonio Spurs and Chris Duarte, two second-round picks and cash to the Bulls, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski:

It appears the Bulls have fully committed to a rebuild. They will have their sights set on the 2025 NBA Draft.

The Bulls have spent years being stuck in the middle of the Eastern Conference. However, they elected to reshape their roster this offseason. The organization has now parted ways with Alex Caruso and DeMar DeRozan. They are expected to continue their rebuild by potentially finding deals for Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic.

Chicago’s decision to bottom out adds them to the mix of other Eastern Conference teams that will be trying to land one of the top picks in the highly anticipated 2025 NBA Draft.

The Washington Wizards, Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons are all expected to be some of the worst teams this season.

Therefore, this creates an opportunity for the Raptors to make the Play-In Tournament next season as the 9th or 10th seed.

The Raptors could also be holding out for a high draft pick in this upcoming draft. However, the team tanking with a healthy Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett doesn’t seem plausible.

Former Raptors star DeMar DeRozan appears in Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ music video

DeMar DeRozan and Drake’s relationship appears to have taken a turn for the worst.

The former Toronto Raptors star who seemed to have a great relationship with Drake appears to be taking Kendrick Lamar’s side in the rap battle between Lamar and Drake.

DeRozan made a cameo appearance in Lamar’s latest music video “Not Like Us.”
