George can officially sign the contract on July 6.
George joins Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey to form a new big three in the East. The 76ers are loading up as they try to knock off the NBA Champion Boston Celtics.
Maxey is sticking around with the 76ers as well. He agreed to a five-year, $204 million extension with the 76ers, per Wojnarowski:

George decided to sign with Philadelphia after he declined a player option in his contract for $48.8 million in 2024-2025, ending a five-year stretch with the Los Angeles Clippers.
The 34-year-old George joins a 76ers team that has had many disappointing playoff exists. Philadelphia has not won an NBA title since 1983 or even advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals since 2001.
The Atlantic Division just got even stronger as the Toronto Raptors will meet the 76ers, New York Knicks and Boston Celtics four times each this season. Arguably, the three best teams in the East right now.
Raptors interested in Nets’ forward Cam Johnson
It should be a quiet NBA free agency for the Toronto Raptors, but they could still get busy on the trade market.
Cam Johnson has recently drawn trade interest from several teams including the Raptors, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.
