The Toronto Raptors will know their NBA Draft Lottery fate on Mother’s Day.
The 2024 NBA Draft Lottery will take place on May 12 at 3 p.m. ET. It will be on ABC ahead of the New York Knicks vs. Indiana Pacers Game 4 matchup.
This will be the biggest day of the offseason for Toronto as they have a 45.8 percent chance of keeping its first-round pick this year. The Raptors will have a 37.2 percent chance of landing a top-four pick and a 8.6 percent chance of landing the No. 6 pick.
If the pick falls outside of the top-six, it will go to the San Antonio Spurs via the Jakob Poeltl trade from last year. The Raptors did what they could by finishing the season with the sixth-worst record in the league, but now they will need a little bit of luck with the ping pong balls going their way.
The 2024 NBA Draft Combine will begin May 12 and run through May 19 in Chicago.
Then the first-round of the 2024 NBA Draft will begin at 8 p.m. ET on June 26 and the second-round will be on June 27 starting at the same time. The Raptors have the No. 31 pick in the draft via the Detroit Pistons so they will have the first selection of the second day.
The Raptors will have an important decision to make on Bruce Brown Jr.’s team option by June 28 at the latest. He is set to earn $23 million next season if his option isn’t declined.
The NBA Free Agency negotiation period will begin at 6 p.m. ET on June 30. Then 2024 NBA Free Agency will officially start on June 6 when teams can begin signing free agent contracts.
NBA Summer League will take place on July 12 through July 22.
