Immanuel Quickley just had his best game as a Raptor.
The 24-year-old put up 21 points, 9 rebounds and 18 assists (career-high) in the game against the Phoenix Suns.
The Raptors came up short but Quickley truly impressed. Quickley’s 18 assists is not only a career-high but it is the most assists in a game by a Raptors player since Fred VanVleet set the franchise record with 20 last April:

Quickley scored or assisted on 66 points for the Raptors. His 18 assists led to 45 points.
He did all he could to help the shorthanded Raptors put up a valiant effort in Phoenix.
Quickley is starting to come into his own for Toronto. Since the All-Star break he has hit another gear.
The Kentucky guard has played extremely well over his last 5 games:
Immanuel Quickley’s last 5 games:
28 PTS, 5 REB, 9 AST
12 PTS, 5 REB, 11 AST
22 PTS, 7 REB, 11 AST
17 PTS, 7 REB, 7 AST
21 PTS, 9 REB, 18 AST (career-high)— Keerthika Uthayakumar (@keerthikau) March 8, 2024
Not only has Quickley seen an uptick in his scoring production, but he has done a great job facilitating the basketball. He has double-digit assists in three of his last five games.
When the Raptors traded for both RJ Barrett and Quickley, they were hoping they were getting two solid starters in return.
Barrett had been a starter for the Knicks, but Quickley was going to see his role drastically change.
He was the sixth man for the Knicks. In Toronto, Quickley has been the starting point guard.
He has not even had a full season under his belt as a starter and he has already shown that he is more than capable of taking the reins.
Quickley’s stats with the Raptors
In 28 games with the Raptors (all as a starter), Quickley is averaging 17.5 points, 6.5 assists and 4.8 rebounds.
He is shooting it 42.1 percent from the field and 41.6 percent from three in 33.1 minutes per contest.
