Scottie Barnes made his All-Star Game debut in Indiana on Feb. 18.
This marked the first All-Star Game appearance of Barnes’ career.
The third year player made the All-Star Game as an injury replacement as he and Trae Young replaced Julius Randle and Joel Embiid.
Before the All-Star Game started, Barnes was caught singing along to ‘O Canada’:

When announced in the player introductions, Barnes looked like he was beyond happy to be there amongst the greatest players in the NBA.
Barnes went on to have a solid debut in the All-Star Game. The 22-year-old put up 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal in 18 minutes of action.
His 16 points were the most by a Raptor at an All-Star Game since Kawhi Leonard in 2019.
Barnes talked about his All-Star debut after the game via Sportsnet’s Lindsay Dunn:
“It was fun, just went out there, did me, played hard, playing together. Just did the basics, the things I always do and it turned out really well. It was fun.”
Barnes then talked about his first basket of the game which was a dunk via Dunn:
“I got a rebound, I think I took the rebound from someone, passed it up to him, just prayed he passed it back and I got the dunk, first points, it was good.”
“I got the dunk, first points it was good!”

Next up for Barnes and Raptors
Barnes and the Raptors will have a few more days off before they resume action on Feb. 22 against the Brooklyn Nets.
The Raptors are out of the play-in and playoff mix, but they will continue to prioritize player development and look to finish up the season strong.
