According to Wojnarowski Indiana is sending two 2024 first-rounders and a 2026 first-round pick to the Raptors. New Orleans will send a second-round pick to Indiana.
Siakam is happy about the deal to the Pacers and he is expected to be eager to work out a new contract with the franchise, per Wojnarowski.
Less than a month after trading O.G. Anunoby in a five-player deal to the New York Knicks, the Raptors now trade Siakam to Indiana.
Siakam is a two-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA player and won a championship with the franchise in 2019. The Raptors made it clear that they didn’t have intentions of bringing him back as both sides were not close to a contract extension.
The Raptors can now officially usher in a new era, one that will be lead by third-year player Scottie Barnes.
Raptors get a deal done for Siakam
The Raptors didn’t have much leverage in this situation with Siakam about to become an unrestricted free agent, but getting three first-round picks in this trade is a significant.
The Raptors will host Siakam and the Pacers on Feb. 14.
