The Toronto Raptors drop their fourth straight game losing to the Boston Celtics 105-96.

Toronto is now 0-10 against the Atlantic Division so far this season and for the second straight season they get swept by the Celtics.

The Raptors struggled mightily from deep in this game which was ultimately the difference maker. Toronto shot 4-23 from three, meanwhile the Celtics hit 16-39 threes.

Despite their horrible three-point shooting the Raptors actually made things interesting. They had a 7-point lead in the third before surrendering it.

The Raptors then made a run late in the fourth quarter cutting the Celtics lead to 4, but then Derrick White hit a dagger three in the corner.

White was big for the Celtics in this one finishing with 22 points. Jrue Holiday pitched in with 22 points as well as the Celtics who were missing Jaylen Brown found a way to beat the Raptors again.

For Toronto they dominated the points in the paint 60-28 and did a good job of limiting turnovers.

Immanuel Quickley had a solid game finishing with 21 points and RJ Barrett had a team-high 24, however the Raptors two stars didn’t pick up the slack.

Pascal Siakam who is in the mists of a lot of trade rumors didn’t bring it at all defensively. He also struggled offensively scoring 17 points on 5-15 shooting, including going 0-6 from three.

Scottie Barnes had one of his worst offensive games of the season scoring 10 points on 5-12 shooting. He had 12 rebounds and despite playing well defensively he never found his rhythm on offense. Barnes also had 4 turnovers.

The growing pains for the Raptors continue. Toronto is now a season-high 10 games under .500 on the season.

Next on tap

The Raptors continue their three-game homestand with a matchup against the Miami Heat on Jan. 17. The Heat visited the Raptors on Dec. 6 and beat them 112-103.

Kyle Lowry will be returning to Scotiabank Arena once again in this one.
