Scottie Barnes is having an incredible season with the Toronto Raptors.
He’s averaging a career-high across the board and was the Raptors lone bright in the first part of the season.
Barnes is averaging 21.0 points, 9.1 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks per game on 47.5 percent shooting from the field and 38.5 percent shooting from three.
Many Raptors fans are hopeful that Barnes will be at the 2024 NBA All-Star game despite Toronto’s poor record.
However, the first batch of votes are in and it doesn’t look promising for Barnes:
LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo lead their respective conferences in the first fan returns of #NBAAllStar Voting presented by AT&T.
Fans account for 50% of the vote to decide All-Star starters. NBA players and a media panel account for 25% each.

Barnes does not crack the top 10 in the first fan returns of All-Star voting for frontcourt players. Fans account for 50% of the vote to decide All-Star starters. NBA players and a media panel account for 25% each.
The next fan update is Jan. 11.
Now in terms of the All-Star reserves that’s decided on coaches so Barnes could have a chance there. But it’s unfortunate to see Barnes for as great of a season that he’s having not be in the top 10.
With all due respect to Kyle Kuzma, he shouldn’t be in the top 10 over Barnes.
Pascal Siakam is another player on the Raptors who has quietly put together an All-Star season, but he too is left out of the top 10.
There is still time to vote, so hopefully these results change the next time around.
