As the season progresses, teams are beginning to see what they’re made of, one being the Toronto Raptors.

After being eliminated in the Play-In Tournament, the hope was that a head coaching change would be the answer for the Raptors problems.

Now approaching the 30-game mark, Toronto is 11-17 on the year. It is becoming apparent that roster changes need to be made.

Pascal Siakam and O.G. Anunoby have been at the forefront of the latest rumors. A fair amount of teams have expressed interest in Anunoby, a new one now being the New York Knicks, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype:

“The Knicks also remain interested in trading for Raptors forward OG Anunoby, league sources told HoopsHype. Last season, Knicks forward RJ Barrett came up in those brief trade inquiries, but nothing substantive materialized. That’s likely to remain the case again unless New York blows Toronto away with sufficient first-round draft pick compensation and maybe another young asset.”

While the Knicks add themselves to the handful of interested teams, nothing seems imminent. It is clear the Raptors value Anunoby greatly, needing substantial draft compensation or proven prospect to be willing to move off of him.

As the trade deadline slowly approaches, noise around Anunoby will seemingly become louder.

It is worth noting that Siakam has been deemed more likely to be moved over Anunoby. As Siakam doesn’t fit the rebuilding timeline for Toronto.

The Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks have been the two teams talking with the Raptors about a potential Siakam deal. However, it seems that in any trade involving Siakam or Anunoby, Toronto wants draft compensation and young players to help kickstart a potential retool/rebuild.

Kings don’t have significant interest in Anunoby

As mentioned, there have been a good amount of teams expressing interest in the Raptors forward. One of them being the Sacramento Kings.

However, it seems that Sacramento does not have a lot of interest in Anunoby. Due to him being an expiring deal and the prospect of him potentially leaving in free agency.
