The Toronto Raptors are coming off their biggest win of the season over the Dallas Mavericks.
The Raptors got off to a bit of a slow start but then took control from the second quarter and on. The Raptors got their first win in Dallas since 2019.
Pascal Siakam led all Raptors in scoring with 31 points, O.G. Anunoby chipped in with 26 points and did a great job on Luka Doncic who was visibly frustrated in this one. Scottie Barnes nearly had a triple-double with 14 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists, Schroder remained consistent scoring 18 points and Toronto’s bench finally delivered with 34 points.
This was truly a total team effort from the Raptors as they notched their best performance of the season to date.
Kyrie Irving scored 22 points against the Raptors but he had to work for everything. Toronto didn’t make it easy on him or Luka Doncic. He recognized the Raptors efforts and gave them their flowers following their win:
Kyrie on the Raptors: “…I’ve played against this core group being in the Eastern conference and knowing what to expect. Tonight, you can see that they were developing that chemistry and that trust with their coach— new coach, new system—and they played with an edge” pic.twitter.com/3iMWgNsGLe

Irving praises Raptors
Irving realizes that the Raptors have a new found edge under Darko Rajakovic. Through 8 games, the Raptors do appear to have their ‘good vibes’ back and are playing with great chemistry.
The players continue to bond and their connection with coach Rajakovic has been nothing but positive.
All things considered the Raptors have had a nice start to their season. Three of their four wins have come against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks. Arguably, all playoff teams.
Toronto’s next test will be how they fare on the road against the Boston Celtics. A team that is deemed to be a big NBA title favorite for this season.
