The Toronto Raptors on paper had a competitive roster last season with Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet leading the charge. However, they struggled to find any sort of consistency throughout the season.

The Raptors finished the 2022-23 season 41-41 and 9th in the Eastern Conference. They earned a spot in the Play-In Tournament.

That’s where the Raptors were eliminated by the Chicago Bulls after they blew a 19-point lead.

As a result of their disappointing finish to the season, the Raptors landed the No. 13 pick in the NBA Draft and selected 6’8 sharpshooter Gradey Dick from Kansas.

Despite losing VanVleet in free agency to the Houston Rockets, Toronto is still looking to be competitive with the likes of Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby and Scottie Barnes. They’re also hoping that Gradey Dick can provide some added scoring punch.

This offseason Dick is making waves off the court. Dick has become a brand ambassador and investor in GURU Organic Energy, via financialpost.com. Dick is thrilled to partner with GURU, the world’s first natural drink company:

“When the opportunity to partner with GURU was presented, I knew right away that it was a good fit, because not only does the product bring great clean energy, but the team embodies the positive ‘Feel Good Energy’ that I try to live my life with.”

This isn’t the first brand deal Dick has signed. He recently signed a deal with Adidas back in July.

This will likely not be the last endorsement deal that Dick lands in his career. As he continues to grow as a player, more opportunities are bound to turn up for him.

Toronto could make a move in the next six weeks

The Raptors have been in the rumor mill ever since February’s trade deadline. There has been speculation on the team potentially blowing up their roster. As things have quieted down this offseason, NBA insider Zach Lowe has hinted that the Raptors could still make a move within the next few weeks.
