Phoenix was led by Jalen Green, who scored 34 points and tied his career best with eight 3-pointers. Devin Booker finished with 31 points, but the Suns were unable to protect a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter.
Grayson Allen added 15 points for Phoenix.
The Suns appeared in control when they led 105-95 with just over eight minutes remaining. However, the Raptors responded with a decisive 13-2 run, highlighted by Barrett’s 3-pointer with 3:35 left that gave Toronto the momentum.
Royce O’Neal briefly halted the surge with a three-pointer at the 2:36 mark, but Phoenix struggled to score afterward. The Suns did not register another field goal until Booker made three free throws with 24 seconds left.
In a key late sequence, Barnes blocked Green’s attempt at a dunk in the final minute. Barrett then finished a fast break with a dunk on the other end to push Toronto’s lead to six points.
Booker entered the game coming off a 43-point outing in Phoenix’s win over Indiana the night before. Against Toronto, he shot 10-of-20 from the field, including 2-of-5 from beyond the arc, and made 9-of-11 free throws.
Green went 8-of-16 from three-point range, just one attempt shy of his career high of 17 from long distance.
