Brandon Ingram poured in 33 points, and Immanuel Quickley added 24 to lead the Toronto Raptors past the revamped Chicago Bulls, 123-107, on Thursday night at Scotiabank Arena.
Balanced Offense Snaps Losing Skid
The Raptors got strong contributions across the board as Collin Murray-Boyles and Sandro Mamukelashvili chipped in 17 points apiece, while Scottie Barnes finished with 13. The victory snapped Toronto’s four-game losing streak against Chicago.
Toronto has now surpassed its total wins from last season, earning its 31st victory in just 53 games.
New Faces on Chicago’s Roster
Making their Bulls debut after the team’s major trade deadline overhaul, Anfernee Simons scored 22 points and Matas Buzelis added 18. Guerschon Yabusele made an impact in his first outing with 15 points and 11 rebounds, coming off the bench.
Jaden Ivey and Jalen Smith also added 13 points each, while Isaac Okoro contributed 10. Bulls rookie Yuki Kawamura tied his career high with seven assists.
Raptors Pull Away Late
After Chicago erased an 11-point first-half deficit to tie the game at 76 midway through the third quarter, Toronto responded decisively with a 24-12 run to close the quarter and reclaim control. They entered the fourth leading 100-88 and didn’t look back.
RJ Barrett sat out due to knee management on the second night of a back-to-back. Rookie Ja’Kobe Walter stepped into the starting lineup and added 12 points.
