Mikal Bridges poured in 30 points, including 19 during a dominant third quarter, and Karl-Anthony Towns controlled the glass with a season-high 22 rebounds as the New York Knicks pulled away from the Toronto Raptors for a 119-92 victory Wednesday night.
The win was New York’s fourth in a row and marked its 11th straight triumph over Toronto. OG Anunoby, facing his former team, chipped in 26 points and a season-best six steals, while Josh Hart scored 22 and Jalen Brunson added 13.
Towns grabbed 14 rebounds in the second quarter alone, finishing with eight points despite shooting 3-for-11 from the floor. Bridges was highly efficient, hitting 12 of 15 shots overall and knocking down four of six from beyond the arc.
Toronto saw its four-game winning streak snapped despite strong individual efforts. Brandon Ingram led the Raptors with 27 points, Scottie Barnes recorded 17 points and 10 rebounds, and RJ Barrett finished with 14.
The Raptors built a 12-point lead in the first half, but New York flipped the game after the break. Anunoby’s fast-break dunk with 3:54 left in the third quarter gave the Knicks their first lead at 69-68 and sparked a 15-2 run to close the period. Bridges’ hot shooting fueled the surge, helping New York recover from a rough first half from long range.
The Knicks went 14-for-38 from three-point distance after making just four in the opening half. Toronto struggled late, hitting only one of nine attempts from deep in the second half.
New York played without Mitchell Robinson and Miles McBride, both sidelined with ankle injuries after Tuesday’s win over Sacramento.
Toronto was back home after winning four of five on a Western road trip but couldn’t sustain momentum, finishing with 20 turnovers.
