The Toronto Raptors defeated the Denver Nuggets to improve to 3-0 in Summer League.
Ja’Kobe Walter had the type of performance the Raptors were waiting for. After two quiet games in Summer League, Walter finally dominated the competition.
He was aggressive and impacted both ends of the floor in what was his best game of the tournament.
Walter was huge offensively finishing with 26 points on 8-for-16 shooting from the field with four made threes and he had a game-high 7 steals. It was the type of two-way performance the Raptors are hoping to see from him at the next level.
Walter’s two-way upside is something to monitor this season with the Raptors.
Another standout from this game was Ulrich Chomche who continues to impress. He continues to bring mobility and a strong defensive presence. He finished with 7 points and 4 rebounds.
The highlight for him was a sequence where Chomche blocked a shot at the rim, ran down the floor and hit Collin Murray-Boyles with a beautiful pass for a dunk.
Ulrich Chomche is UNREAL 😱
Get the block on one end.
Then runs the floor at full speed.

Chomche is showing flashes that he will have a bright future with the Raptors. He will spend most of this season once again with Raptors 905, but the development suggests he could be closer to a rotation spot sooner rather than later.
With the win the Raptors are first in Summer League with the best point differential heading into their final game. Eight teams currently have a 3-0 record. If the Raptors beat the Golden State Warriors on July 17 they will be one of the top 4 teams advancing to the semifinals, with a chance to win the Summer League title.
