Brandon Ingram is good to go.
The 27-year-old was cleared for contact yesterday. He has been training with the Toronto Raptors in Las Vegas, according to TSN’s Josh Lewneberg.
“Brandon is doing really well. He put in a lot of work since the end of the season. His commitment, daily work he’s putting in, it’s outstanding. He’s pain-free, he’s moving well, he got stronger,” Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic said via the hello and welcome podcast.
Ingram participating in team workouts and doing individual sessions is a huge step in the right direction. He suffered a severe ankle sprain in December, which kept him out for the remainder of the 2024–25 season.
Ingram never suited up for the Raptors. He consulted with a foot specialist in New York and the team opted for Ingram to undergo a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection in April which officially ended his season.
The Raptors acquired Ingram at the February trade deadline in a deal that sent Bruce Brown, Kelly Olynyk, a 2026 first-round pick and a future second-round pick to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Toronto then quickly locked up Ingram, signing him to a three-year, $120 million extension which will include a player option for the 2027–28 season.
The Raptors are hoping Ingram will be able to stay healthy and help the team push towards a playoff spot for this coming season. In 18 games with the Pelicans last season, Ingram averaged 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists while shooting 46.5 percent from the field and 37.4 percent from three.
