The Indiana Pacers are coming off an NBA Finals appearance. They will be without their lead guard Tyrese Halibuton, but they should still remain competitive with their depth. The Cleveland Cavaliers were the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference last season. The Atlanta Hawks improved this offseason, adding Kristaps Porzingis, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Luke Kennard. Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards made some nice moves this offseason as well. They should be better than they were last season.

The group stage of the NBA Cup will go from Oct. 31 to Nov. 28 with games played on designated “Cup Nights.”

Each team will play four games, one against each group opponent.

The single-elimination knockout round will comprise of the six group winners and two wild cards, one from each conference.

The quarterfinals are scheduled for Dec. 9 and 10. The semifinals will take place on Dec. 13 in Las Vegas and the championship game will be on Dec. 16 is Las Vegas as well.

The NBA Cup has not been kind to the Raptors thus far. They have never made it out of the group stage and they are 2–6 in NBA Cup play to date.

Former Raptors guard Norman Powell traded to Heat

Norman Powell is on his way to the Miami Heat.

The former Toronto Raptors guard was traded to the Heat as part of a three-team deal with the Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz on Monday, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
