Former Toronto Raptors champions Norman Powell and Kawhi Leonard found themselves in a Game 7.

Now, as a part of the Los Angeles Clippers, Leonard and Powell were in a thrilling first-round matchup with the Denver Nuggets.

Frankly, Denver and L.A. had the most enticing first-round matchup due to all the star power involved. Both teams came into the postseason with the hopes of making a deep run.

Whoever got eliminated faced a daunting offseason and L.A. looked to be in control of the series. With a 2-1 series lead, an Aaron Gordon buzzer-beating putback dunk seemingly swung the momentum.

Fast forward to Game 7, the Clippers headed to Denver with their season on the line. Notoriously, Denver is one of, if not the hardest place to play due to the altitude.

L.A. took a first quarter lead, then it all came crashing down, getting outscored 37-21 in the second quarter. Ultimately, the Nuggets came away with a dominant 120-101 win.

Once the Nuggets got the lead, they never looked back and the Clippers find themselves in a peculiar position this offseason.

Powell struggled in the Mile High City as he went 4-for-11 from the field. For a player who was in the running for Most Improved Player, only putting up 9 points in a win-or-go-home game is disappointing.

On the other hand, Leonard put together a nice series with 25 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists on 53.7 percent from the field and 40.5 percent from three-point range.

Since departing from Toronto, Leonard has not recaptured that same success with L.A. Now five seasons with the Clippers, the furthest he has gone is the second round in 2020.

Norman Powell & Kawhi Leonard season stats

Despite a disappointing playoff performance, Norman Powell still put together an impressive season averaging 21.8 points on 48.4 percent from the field and 41.8 percent from distance.

Injuries plagued Kawhi Leonard again as he only played in 37 regular season games. But, put up 21.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists on 49.8 percent shooting from the field and 41.1 percent shooting from three-point range.
