Rookie Jonathan Mogbo matched his career highs with 17 points and 11 rebounds and dished out a season-best seven assists to help lead the Toronto Raptors past the Brooklyn Nets 120-109 on Sunday.

Toronto showcased balanced scoring as Ochai Agbaji added 15 points, while RJ Barrett and AJ Lawson chipped in 13 apiece. Cole Swider and Jamison Battle scored 12 each, and Jared Rhoden finished with 10. Jamal Shead recorded a career-high 12 assists to go with nine points.

The Raptors, who used their 40th different starting lineup of the season, snapped a three-game losing streak.

Reece Beekman led the Nets with 14 points, along with five assists and three steals. Keon Johnson contributed 13 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Dariq Whitehead, Trendon Watford, Drew Timme, and Maxwell Lewis each had 13 points. Tosan Evbuomwan added 12 and Ziaire Williams finished with 11.

Battle scored all his points in the first half, while Mogbo tallied 11 in the second half to help seal the win.

Game Takeaways

Raptors: Toronto claimed the season series 3-1 over Brooklyn, its first since the 2020-21 campaign. Although eliminated from playoff contention, the Raptors have won three straight over the Nets, including two victories in Brooklyn since March 26.

Nets: Brooklyn dropped its second straight game to open a four-game homestand and has now lost eight of its last ten.

After Maxwell Lewis tied the game at 35, Battle responded with a three-pointer that put Toronto ahead for good. The Raptors closed the second quarter on a 26-11 run and extended their lead to 61-46 at halftime. They opened the third with a 12-2 burst to build their largest lead.

Toronto set a season-high with 16 steals and forced 23 Nets turnovers, converting them into 22 points.
