Scottie Barnes has popped up on the Toronto Raptors injury report.
The Raptors have listed the 23-year-old forward as questionable due to a right hand injury ahead of their matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers.
It is unknown when Barnes suffered the injury, however he was previously on the injury report with a similar issue at the beginning of March. He missed a game on March 12 and since then Barnes has struggled on the offensive end, shooting just 43.6 percent from the field and 28.1 percent from three. It could be due to his hand issue.
Barnes has missed 15 games this season and he can only miss two more to remain eligible for NBA honors under the NBA’s 65-game threshold. While Barnes likely won’t make All-NBA, he still has a shot to make an All-Defense team and would need to appear in four of Toronto’s final six games to qualify.
Jakob Poeltl and Immanuel Quickley will both get the night off. Meanwhile, RJ Barrett and Ochai Agbaji are expected to return after sitting out Tuesday’s game for rest.
Gradey Dick, Brandon Ingram, and Ulrich Chomche remain out. Jared Rhoden is listed as questionable with a left hand injury.
The Raptors were officially eliminated from playoff contention on Tuesday night and now their focus shifts to locking up the 7th best lottery odds. The Raptors are now 4 games up on the San Antonio Spurs in the reverse standings after San Antonio beat the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night.
