Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic is loving his time in Canada.
As of late, former players have been expressing their issues with living in Toronto.
In the case of Rajakovic, he is here for the long haul to try and lead the Raptors into their next era.
Admittedly, this season has been far from ideal due to injuries. However, next year is what could turn the tide with Brandon Ingram in the mix.
Despite excessive losing, Rajakovic expressed his love for the city of Toronto and his excitement for the team moving forward, via Adam Kaskaris of Daily Hive:
“Toronto is one of the best cities in the world. Toronto Raptors have the best fans in NBA. It’s a privilege to play in this city…..it’s amazing every time I go out, when I go to the store, and when I talk to regular people, how much they love the team, how much they recognize the moment we’re in, how much there is support and we’re just at the start of our rebuild. So I think it’s an absolute privilege to play in our city and to play in front of our fans and I’ll leave it at that.”
When Rajakovic coaches, it is easy to see his passion for his players and the organization he represents. These characteristics is what makes a great head coach and he is certainly developing the Raptors’ young talent.
There will be some sort of pressure next season for Rajakovic to turn this roster into at the very least a Play-In team. Nonetheless, it is great to see Rajakovic stick up for Toronto.
