Brandon Ingram is staying put in Toronto.

Ingram has agreed to a three-year, $120 million contract extension with the Raptors, which includes a player option in 2027-2028, per ESPN’s Shams Charania:

Ingram was acquired bu the Raptors before the Feb. 6 trade deadline in exchange for Bruce Brown, Kelly Olynyk, a 2026 top-four protected first-round pick via the Indiana Pacers and a 2031 second-round selection. The Raptors now have their offensive force locked up.

It will be interesting to see how the Raptors make it all work financially to fit everyone in, including their top pick in this upcoming draft.

Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy suggests structuring Ingram’s deal as 38.1M, 40M and 41.9M makes the most sense, which will give the Raptors some breathing room this summer.

The Raptors have acquired their “significant piece” next to Scottie Barnes, which was a priority for the franchise, per Sportsnet’s Michael Grange.

Ingram has averaged 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in each of the last four seasons, making him one of six NBA players to accomplish that. Ingram’s dynamic mid-range game will help boost the Raptors’ offense. He ranks as one of the best mid-range shot makers, only trailing former Raptor DeMar DeRozan for the most mid-range shots made per game.

Ingram was an NBA All-Star and won Most Improved Player of the Year in his first season with the Pelicans in 2019-20.

Scottie Barnes comments on Raptors trading for Brandon Ingram

The Toronto Raptors made a big splash when they acquired New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram.

The Raptors saw this as an opportunity to help their rebuild by acquiring one of the best versatile forwards in the game.

Scottie Barnes was excited when talking about the Ingram trade, via Sportsnet’s Michael Grange.
