The Toronto Raptors offense went ice cold as they fall to the Houston Rockets 94-87.

Offensive struggle

This game was an offensive struggle for both team and that was highlighted with it being a 42-37 score at the half. The Raptors did hold the Rockets to 36 percent shooting from the field, but their offense was even worse. Toronto managed just 87 points on 37 percent shooting from the field and they were 8-for-42 from three. The Raptors defense kept them in this game going into the fourth quarter. However, the team’s offense was ugly. Raptors were down three starters and Scottie Barnes struggled from the field again, including going 0-for-8 from three.  After winning 8 of 10 games, the Raptors have now lost 4 in a row.

Immanuel Quickley looked good

One of the bright spots in this game for the Raptors was Quickley. This was the best he looked all season. He was very aggressive early on and had 11 shot attempts in 15 minutes. He scored 18 of the Raptors’ first 40 points and overall he finished with 20 points and 8 rebound in 30 minutes of action. He logged the most minutes in a game since coming back from injury.

Gradey Dick injured

The Raptors just can’t escape injuries this season. Sophomore Dick left the game and headed to the locker room with 22 seconds left in the first half. He and Amen Thompson collided under the rim and Dick was very slow to get up. He did eventually walk off the court himself, but he was holding his head. Dick did not return and he was ruled out with a neck contusion. However, he cleared the first initial concussion test, which is a good sign, via TSN’s Kayla Grey.

Next on tap

The Raptors will be on the road again on Feb. 11 when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers.
