Jamison Battle has been awarded for his solid play.

The Toronto Raptors have reportedly converted Battle’s two-way contract into a standard three-year deal, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The Raptors signed Battle to a training camp deal after the 23-year-old went undrafted out of Ohio State last summer.

Battle beat out Branden Carlson, earning a two-way spot on the roster. He has played in 35 games for the Raptors, shooting 41.7 percent from three. In 15 G League games this year, Battle is averaging 12.7 points on 46 percent shooting from three. Battle gives the Raptors some much needed three-point shooting. The Raptors have used part of its remaining mid-level exception to sign Battle for the rest of this season.

The rookie sharpshooter should see a lot of playing time down the stretch with the Raptors’ main focus being player development and the upcoming draft. Battle is likely to become a staple in the rotation in the team’s final 31 games.

The Raptors have one more open standard spot and one available two-way contract following the move. With the Raptors lacking frontcourt depth with Kelly Olynyk with the New Orleans Pelicans and Jakob Poeltl sidelined, the team could sign Orlando Robinson to a two-way deal. Robinson’s second 10-day contract expired on Feb. 6 and the Raptors can’t sign him to another.

Battle will be available for the Raptors when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
