The Toronto Raptors will be undermanned when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Feb. 7.
Jakob Poeltl will be out once again with a right hip injury, via TSN’s Josh Lewenberg.
The Raptors will not have a true center available with Kelly Olynyk heading to New Orleans Pelicans in the Brandon Ingram deal. Also, Orlando Robinson’s 10-day contract is expiring. Therefore, the Raptors will probably start Chris Boucher or Jonathan Mogbo. James Wiseman, who the Raptors acquired right before the trade deadline buzzer is out for the season with a torn Achilles.
RJ Barrett remains in concussion protocol. This will be the third straight game he misses after he hit his head hard on the floor against the Los Angeles Clippers. There’s no timetable for when he will rejoin the team.
Don’t expect to see Brandon Ingram with the Raptors, he remains sidelined with an ankle injury and there is no timetable for when he will make his Toronto debut.
The Raptors will also be without Bruce Brown and Davion Mitchell, who were traded before the deadline. PJ Tucker who the Raptors acquired has not joined the team and he is expected to be bought out.
Immanuel Quickley will play against the Thunder as he will return after he sat out last game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Quickley is working his way back from a groin injury so he didn’t play in the back-to-back set.
Chet Holmgren is expected to return for the Thunder. He has been sidelined since November with a hip injury. Ousmane Dieng, Ajay Mitchell, Cason Wallace and Nikola Topic are all out.
Chris Boucher not traded
Chris Boucher is not going anywhere.
The Toronto Raptors veteran was not moved ahead of the 2025 NBA Trade Deadline buzzer. This was the biggest surprise of the day for Toronto as they keep Boucher and his expiring $10.8 million contract – which was believed to make him a likely trade candidate for a contender.
