Jaren Jackson Jr. erupted for 32 points, while Ja Morant scored 16 of his 26 in the third quarter as the Memphis Grizzlies cruised to a 138-107 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night, extending their winning streak to four games.
Rookie Zach Edey made his first professional appearance in his hometown and impressed with 13 points and 14 rebounds, securing his eighth double-double of the season and third in as many games.
The Grizzlies have now won three straight meetings against Toronto and five consecutive games in Canada.
Memphis previously set a franchise record by scoring 155 points in a dominant home win over Toronto on December 26, including 78 in the first half. While they didn’t reach that mark Wednesday, the Grizzlies exploded for a season-high 85 points in the second half to put the game out of reach.
Jamal Shead, Ochai Agbaji, and Ja’Kobe Walter each scored 14 points for the Raptors, while Gradey Dick finished with 13 and Scottie Barnes added 11.
Toronto played without top scorer RJ Barrett, who remained in concussion protocol for the second straight game. Center Jakob Poeltl was also sidelined due to a right hip injury suffered in Tuesday’s loss to the Knicks.
