The Toronto Raptors like what they see from Orlando Robinson.

Robinson re-signed

Robinson will be sticking around for the time being as the Raptors have signed the 24-year-old center to a second 10-day contract, the team announced Tuesday.

The deal will keep Robinson with Toronto through the Feb. 6 trade deadline.

Robinson has played in three games with the Raptors, averaging 2.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 11 minutes per game. He has stepped into the rotation for the injured Kelly Olynyk. He gives the Raptors much-needed frontcourt depth behind Jakob Poeltl. Robinson had a nice outing in the Raptors’ victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Jan. 25, as he put up 4 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks in 21 minutes of action.

If the Raptors want to keep Robinson after his second 10-day deal, they will need to sign him to a standard or two-way contract for the rest of this season.

Schedule change

The NBA has announced a change to the Raptors schedule. Toronto’s March 19 road game against the Golden State Warriors has been moved to March 20 at 7:00 p.m. local time (10:00 p.m. ET).

The adjustment comes as part of the NBA’s broader reschedulings to accommodate games that were postponed due to wildfires in Los Angeles and a snowstorm in New Orleans.

This is a slight change for the Raptors as they will now have two days off between their March 17 matchup against the Phoenix Suns and the game against the Warriors.

Then the Raptors will have another two days off before returning to Scotiabank Arena for matchups against the San Antonio Spurs on March 23 and Washington Wizards on March 24.

The NBA announced a total of 9 schedule changes following the natural disasters.
