RJ Barrett delivered a standout performance with 22 points and 10 rebounds as the Toronto Raptors ended a 10-game losing streak against the Boston Celtics with a 110-97 victory on Wednesday night.
Jakob Poeltl contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Scottie Barnes added 18 points to help Toronto win back-to-back games for just the third time this season.
Despite securing consecutive victories following their win over Golden State on Monday, the Raptors have yet to put together a three-game winning streak this season.
Peyton Pritchard led the Celtics with 20 points, Kristaps Porzingis scored 18, and Jayson Tatum finished with 16. Boston struggled from beyond the arc, making just 16-of-46 three-point attempts.
This was Boston’s first loss to Toronto since March 28, 2022. Several Celtics regulars, including Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Al Horford, were absent in that previous defeat.
Toronto’s third win in its last 19 games was a significant turnaround from its previous matchup with the Celtics. On December 31, the Raptors suffered their worst defeat in franchise history, falling 125-71 in Boston.
The Raptors played without guard Immanuel Quickley for a second straight game as he remained sidelined with a left hip injury.
