Immanuel Quickley can’t stay on the floor.

Quickley was ruled out for the Toronto Raptors’ game against the Golden State Warriors on Jan. 13 with left hip soreness.

However, now the Raptors are calling the injury a left groin sprain. Quickley did not practice today and he is considered day-to-day. The 25-year-old seems unlikely to play against the Boston Celtics tomorrow night, per TSN’s Josh Lewenberg.

This is another tough break for Quickley who just returned after missing 22 games due to a partial tear to the UCL in his left elbow. Prior to that he suffered a right-side pelvic contusion on opening night against the Cleveland Cavaliers. As a result of the injuries, Quickley has only played in 9 games this season.

Quickley last played against the Detroit Pistons on Jan. 11 and logged 25 points in 32 minutes of action.

Against the Warriors Quickley did not play and the Raptors elected to start Davion Mitchell in place of him to take on Stephen Curry. Ochai Agbaji finished the game for Toronto with Mitchell on the bench. When Quickley missed time earlier in the season, the Raptors opted to start Agbaji.

The Raptors full starting lineup has only been able to play 4 games together this season due to a flurry of injuries that have set the team back. For the season, Quickley is averaging 16.2 points and 6.1 assists per game while shooting 37.8 percent from the field.

Drake Jokes about broadcast ‘ban’

Drake wants to be back on the Toronto Raptors broadcast.

The Raptors global ambassador shared an Instagram story during the Raptors’ game against the Golden State Warriors. The caption on the story read “Raptors how long is my headphone ban?? I was born to commentate.”
