Chris Boucher took over against the Golden State Warriors in the fourth quarter.
The Warriors carried a 3-point lead into the final frame when Boucher erupted to score 17 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter alone.
He was on fire from the field going 7-for-8, which included 3 three-pointers. Boucher’s energy and hustle was infectious. He cleaned up a Scottie Barnes miss with a one-handed slam that had the crowd roaring with under 4 minutes to go in the game:

Boucher’s latest performance is part of an incredible four-game stretch that he’s been on dating back to the game against the New York Knicks on Jan. 8. Boucher only got 4 minutes of action in garbage time but scored 10 points. He then poured in 23 points on 5-for-8 shooting from three as the Raptors almost upset the Cleveland Cavaliers. He continued his hot play with 14 points on 4-for-5 shooting from three all coming in the first quarter against the Detroit Pistons. Then his 18-point outburst against the Warriors single-handedly won the game for the Raptors.
“Obviously, right now it feels really amazing. When I get the ball it feels like I’m at the right place, the right shot,” Boucher said of his recent stretch of play, via TSN’s Josh Lewenberg. “But I think I’m doing better making reads, not just shooting the ball…It’s keeping me in a good groove where I know where my shots are coming from.”
What made Boucher’s fourth quarter heroics on Monday night even more special is that it came against his former team. Boucher started his career with the Warriors organization but never got a shot like he did in Toronto.
“He was kinda quiet back in the day. Knew he could shoot. Knew he loved to play. He was burning for an opportunity. He’s obviously gotten extremely better…I just hate the way he played tonight,” Stephen Curry said of Boucher, via Lewenberg.
Boucher’s on the final year of his $10.8 million contract and he’s rumored to be moved by the Raptors ahead of the trade deadline. If this is Boucher’s final run in Toronto, he’s certainly making it a memorable one.
