Gradey Dick is close to making a return.
The Toronto Raptors have listed him as questionable for Tuesday night against the Indiana Pacers.
Dick has been out the last 4 games with a calf injury he suffered against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Nov. 24. Dick was a full participant in the Raptors practice on Monday and he is expected to be back at some point this week, Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic told reporters.
When Dick returns to action, he will replace rookie Ja’Kobe Walter in the starting lineup. The Raptors were planning to let Walter get plenty of reps with Raptors 905, but had to cut his G League stint short once Dick’s injury occurred.
Bruce Brown (knee) and Kelly Olynyk (back) remain out for the Raptors. Both players were seen shooting following the team’s practice on Monday. The Raptors were hoping to get Brown back at some point during their four-game road trip, but he still isn’t ready to return. There’s no timetable for either player’s return.
Meanwhile, Raptors lead guard Immanuel Quickley was seen participating in some shooting drills following practice. He has been battling a UCL sprain and has not been cleared for contact yet. Quickley is expected to be out until mid December.
The Raptors are currently on a five-game homestand and they are coming off a nice 119-116 win over the Miami Heat.
They will see Pascal Siakam and the Pacers on Tuesday night. Indiana has yet to share its injury report for this game. The Raptors defeated the Pacers 130-119 on Nov. 18.
