RJ Barrett delivered a stellar 37-point performance, while Scottie Barnes contributed 23 points and 10 rebounds, leading the Toronto Raptors to a 119-116 victory over the Miami Heat on Sunday night.

Jakob Poeltl added 17 points and 11 rebounds, and rookie Ja’Kobe Walter chipped in with 12 as the Raptors improved to 5-4 at home.

Barrett was highly efficient, shooting 15-for-20 from the field, including 3-for-4 from beyond the arc, and made all four of his free-throw attempts.

Barnes, who recorded a triple-double in Friday’s loss to Miami, came close again, finishing just one assist shy of the mark.

Tyler Herro led Miami with 31 points, while Jimmy Butler added 17, but the Heat failed to win three straight games for the first time this season. Herro was 6-for-12 from deep but missed a crucial 3-pointer that would have tied the game with 29 seconds left.

Bam Adebayo posted 13 points and grabbed a season-high 20 rebounds for Miami. Terry Rozier scored 17 points as the Heat dropped to 5-5 on the road.

Takeaways

Heat: Duncan Robinson struggled from the field, shooting just 3-for-12 overall and 2-for-7 from three-point range, finishing with eight points.

Raptors: Barrett surpassed 30 points for the third straight home game and the fifth time in his last seven outings.

Key Moment

Trailing 77-75 late in the third quarter, the Raptors surged ahead with a 13-2 run, fueled by six points from Barrett, to take an 88-79 lead.

Key Stat

Miami, which drained 21-of-54 from three-point range in Friday’s win over Toronto, finished 15-for-40 deep in the rematch.
