Jaden Ivey sank a jumper as time expired, sealing a thrilling 102-100 victory for the Detroit Pistons over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night.
Toronto had taken a 98-96 lead after an RJ Barrett three-pointer with 1:47 left, but Ivey responded with a driving layup to tie the game at 1:07.
Following missed opportunities on both ends, Isaiah Stewart’s dunk briefly put Detroit ahead before Scottie Barnes knotted it up at 100-100 with a tough layup in traffic with 22.3 seconds remaining.
After a timeout, Ivey took the final shot, shaking off Ochai Agbaji and sinking a difficult, off-balance jumper from the right baseline as the buzzer sounded.
Ivey finished with 25 points, helping Detroit snap a three-game losing streak. Barnes led the Raptors with 31 points, while Barrett added 17.
