Vince Carter is the latest popular internet meme.

The moment occurred during Carter’s jersey retirement ceremony on Nov. 2 when the Toronto Raptors honored the 47-year-old.

Carter let all of his emotions come out:

Good god the passion here from Vince Carter. This is beautful. pic.twitter.com/pW0x7qoE7c

Vince Carter talked about the emotional night and becoming a viral meme via The VC Show:

“I walked into the middle of the court and it all came out. All the emotions, all the things that I wanted to feel. For 20 years, to finally just pour it out all at once, right there on the court. So that was just my body taking over. Feelings, taking over. Me, kind of just allowing myself to live, feel, hear, embrace, experience that moment which became a meme. And I kind of said it to myself when I was sitting there because I remember sitting up, put my head down, I’m like, man, you about to be all over the internet as a meme. And I was okay with it because this was one of the greatest feelings ever…I think I will put that slightly above hall of fame, and that feeling at the opening ceremony….If I’m a meme because of that moment in experiencing that, I’m good with it man.”

Since then, Carter’s screaming meme has popped up all over social media and has already been viewed millions of times on X alone.

It has been the pun of many jokes made online and has been applicable to a lot of moments.

He’s even been tagged in some of the jokes made and his friends have shown him even more as fans continue to poke fun at his emotional moment.

All Carter can do now is accept what happened and have a laugh over it.

RJ Barrett makes Raptors history with latest performance

RJ Barrett made Toronto Raptors history in the team’s win over the Indiana Pacers on Nov. 18.

Barrett scored a season-high 39 points, which is the most ever by a Canadian in a Raptors jersey.
