Ja’Kobe Walter has received some more bad news.
Walter will be sidelined indefinitely with an AC joint injury for the second time this season after he re-injured him in the third quarter of Wednesday’s loss to the Sacramento Kings, the Toronto Raptors announced Friday.
Walter will be out for at least one week before being reevaluated, according to Sports Illustrated’s Aaron Rose:

Walter reaggravated the AC joint injury he suffered before training camp when he collided with Scottie Barnes during informal team workouts. This caused Walter to miss all of training camp, the preseason, and Toronto’s first 5 games of the regular season.
Walter has played in just four games with the team this season, averaging 2.5 points on 18.8 percent shooting from the field in limited action.
This is another tough blow for the Raptors when it comes to their long injury report to start the season. The Raptors will continue to be without Barnes (orbital), Bruce Brown (knee), and Kelly Olynyk (back) indefinitely. Immanuel Quickley is day-to-day with a pelvic injury and he is questionable to play against the Los Angeles Clippers. Jonathan Mogbo who was forced to exit Wednesday’s game early with a hip injury is probable for tomorrow as well.
Without Walter out, the Raptors will likely lean on Jamison Battle more for his shooting and floor-spacing. The Raptors could also opt to bring back DJ Carton who the team assigned to the G League.
The Raptors will take on the Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks to conclude their five-game road trip before returning home to take on the Detroit Pistons next Friday.
Former Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. benched by Bucks
Gary Trent Jr. is not having a good start with the Milwaukee Bucks.
The former Toronto Raptors guard was benched in place of sophomore wing Andre Jackson Jr. on Nov. 7.
The Bucks made the decision following a 1-6 start to their season.
