Ja’Kobe Walter is injured again.
Walter will be sidelined indefinitely with an AC joint injury for the second time this season after he re-injured himself in the third quarter of Wednesday’s loss to the Sacramento Kings, the Toronto Raptors announced Friday.
The Raptors 2024 first-round pick will be out for at least one week before being reevaluated, according to Sports Illustrated’s Aaron Rose:

Walter reaggravated the AC joint injury he suffered before training camp. This caused him to miss all of training camp, the preseason and Toronto’s first 5 games of the regular season.
Walter has played in just 4 games with the Raptors this season, averaging 2.5 points on 18.8 percent shooting from the field in limited action.
Walter is added to the long list of injuries the Raptors have had to start the season. Toronto will continue to be without Scottie Barnes (orbital), Bruce Brown (knee), and Kelly Olynyk (back) indefinitely. Immanuel Quickley is day-to-day with a pelvic injury and he is questionable to play against the Los Angeles Clippers. Jonathan Mogbo who was forced to exit Wednesday’s game early with a hip injury is probable to play tomorrow as well.
Without Walter, the Raptors will likely lean on Jamison Battle even more for his shooting and floor-spacing. The Raptors could also opt to bring back DJ Carton who the team assigned to the G League.
The Raptors will take on the Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks to conclude their five-game road trip before returning home to take on the Detroit Pistons next Friday.
